Employee Overtime

  • Overtime is only permissible if circumstances so necessitate and when agreed to by the employee.
  • Overtime work is prohibited for employees performing arduous work, night workers and pregnant women. 
  • Overtime payment has to be 25% higher than the wage of a normal working day. If the overtime work is performed during a national holiday, the increase has to be 50%.
