If a foreign company registered in Afghanistan wishes to open a bank account, the following information/documents need to be provided:

• Company’s Business License 
• Board Resolution authorizing the opening of an account
• Article of Association  
• Copy of the passport of the president/vice president (original passport is also required for confirmation)
• Visa copy of the president/vice president 
• Work permit of the president/vice president
• If the president/vice president of the company is not present in Afghanistan, s/he shall appoint an authorized signatory to act on his/her behalf 
• Contact number/email address 
• Electricity bill of the house/apartment where he/she resides in Afghanistan (or other proof of address)

In order for a foreign individual to open a bank account in Afghanistan, the following documents are required:

• Copy of passport/ original passport is also required for confirmation 
• Copy of Visa
• Copy of work permit 
• Contact number/email address
