The Energy Investment Risk Assessment is a publication of the Energy Charter Secretariat that evaluates risks to energy investment that can be mitigated through adjustments to policy, legal, and regulatory frameworks. The report covers 30 countries from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas, and includes Afghanistan.
The report shows that Afghanistan has made moderate improvement in key areas of management and settlement of investors in particular in state disputes. Both governmental and non-governmental entities contributed to this report, including Kawun Kakar, Thomas Kraemer, and Wajiha Timori from Kakar Advocates.
