The Supreme Court issued several internal circulars this quarter. One of them explained the proper use of detention during investigations. The law allows 10 days of detention, and the court can approve one extension of 5 days. The Court also clarified that in land or property disputes, courts must look at legal documents and not decide based only on actual possession. Another instruction reminded courts to finalize and register all judgments without delay and to explain the reason if there is any delay in closing a case file.
